Cross Stitch Kit 31x71cm 14CT (Plum Blossom)

Beautiful cross stitch .
Not the easiest but it's my 1st cross stitch in over 10 years so no longer have technic. The tension of my stitches a little off but will not show as there is do much detail in pic.
It will make a beautiful gift once completed. Home warming gift . Hope they will appreciate the hours needed for a piece this big.
Will buy from the same brand for my next one in a couple of months . Very happy with product and its has sufficient thread unlike some other kit ( different brand and website used ) I have purchased. I'm unable to complete it until the 2nd kit arrives ran out of over half the colours and only half way . ( I'm working on 2 projects at the moment.
Cannot recommend this piece enough . ??

I haven't started it yet bit the colour strings look accurate to the picture. Decent size. Will update when start the kit.

This was a lot of fun for me. Everything needed is provided and there is a lot of extra string if needed.

I wouldnt have bothered to state this if I hadnt read more than one comment, unfortunately coupled with a low rating, regarding the colours represented on the printed pattern differing from the actual shades of the silks as well as package display photo of finished product.

Ive said it once, and Ill say it again: READ THE MANUAL/INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING ANY PROJECT. Yes, these kits are often in Chinese, but still fairly straight forward, and seriouslyis there a single thing in our universe that hadnt been beaten to death on the www? For Gods sake, there are countless sites that go on and on about nail varnish! How much can one bang on about a product with a single (fairly pointless, although I do own far too many) use? Youd be surprised.

It states right in the sellers description, included with product photos headings, that colours printed on pattern do vary wildly from actual finished product in order to be able to spot separate shades more easily on the print. Any printed pattern grids etc literally disappear after soaking finished project in warm water anyway, so any strange-coloured edges will be eliminated eventually.

One important [needle]point: Ive found that with the 11-count/three-strand pieces, that the backstitching of grasses and other delicate details look much better using ONE strand instead of two. Personal preference, but really worth not being forced to pick out ugly stitches that just dont look delicate enough or stand out too much.

Cross stitch is a great anxiety-reducer, and although the unprinted designs often look morepolished? Counting and keeping track of tiny squares for hundreds, sometimes thousands of stitches, isnt my idea of relaxing. I think the reason that most of the unprinted designs look a bit better is that they are likely 14-count, so look less pixelated. Think photos with high dpi count compared to those with low count; edges and corners look smoother and rounder from less distance.

A great way to display these works with little fuss is to purchase magnetic bar frames, or hangers; I use them all the time for my Japanese linens, silk tapestry, e.g. its common to hang wonderfully designed tea towels in Japanese homes this way. Its just two separate pieces of non-finished or painted wood bars, one with a hanging cord attached. Theyre available via Amazon, or you can also purchase the non-magnetic tension optionsbetter for heavy pieces from Japanese specialty shops.

Do yourself a favour and purchase a few accessories before you begin: Magnetic needle rests, needle-threaders, sharp little scissors, and fingertip protectionparticularly if your design is backstitch intensive.
